Applesauce-Raisin Bread

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup raisins
1 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
2 Roberts Eggs, beaten
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 cup sweetened applesauce

Preparation

Sift dry ingredients together; stir in brown sugar, raisins and rolled oats. Add remaining ingredients and stir just until moistened. Pour mixture into a well-buttered and floured 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes, or until a wooden pick inserted in center tests clean. Remove from pan immediately; cool. Store in tightly covered container at least 1 day before serving.

Yield: 1 loaf
