Baked Apples

Ingredients

8 large apples
1 package (6 ounce) red cinnamon candies
2 cups boiling water

Preparation

Wash, core and halve apples; place in an 11 x 7 x 2 inch baking dish. Combine cinnamon candies and boiling water in a saucepan; cook over low heat stirring several times until candies dissolve. Pour syrup over apples and bake at 400° for 25 to 30 minutes, basting apples often with syrup. Serve hot or cold.
