Cookbook

Ingredients

2 cups sifted flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup shortening
3/4 cup Roberts Milk

Preparation

Sift flour, baking powder and salt into bowl. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse meal. Make a well in center of dry ingredients; pour in milk all at once. Stir quickly with a fork until well-blended. Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently 10 to 12 strokes. Pat dough to 1/2 inch thickness; cut dough with a floured 2 inch round cutter. Bake on an ungreased baking sheet at 450° for 12 to 15 minutes, or until lightly browned.
