Beef Gravy

Ingredients
drippings from cooked beef
1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 cups beef bouillon
1 teaspoon liquid gravy seasoning
Preparation
After beef has been removed from pan, pour off drippings. Measure 1/4 cup; return to pan. Add flour, salt and pepper; stir until smooth. Over very low heat, cook, stirring, until flour is lightly browned, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Gradually add beef bouillon, stirring after each addition; bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat. Add liquid gravy seasoning; stir until well-blended. Simmer 1 minute longer. Serve with beef.
Yield: 2 cups
Notes:
For Gourmet Beef Gravy, stir 1/4 cup dry red wine and 1 can (3 ounce) drained sliced mushrooms into Beef Gravy. Simmer until hot. Yield: 2 1/2 cups
