Boston Cream Pie

Golden Cake Layer
1/3 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups Roberts Milk
2 Roberts Egg Yolks, slightly beaten
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Chocolate Glaze

Preparation

Prepare Golden Cake Layer; bake in a 9 inch round baking pan and cool thoroughly. Meanwhile, blend together sugar, cornstarch and salt in a saucepan. Mix milk and beaten egg yolk together; gradually add to sugar mixture, stirring constantly. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils; boil and stir 1 minute. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla extract; cool. Split cooled cake layer in half horizontally. Spread cooled filling between layers. Prepare Chocolate Glaze and spread over top layer. (Keep refrigerated.)

Yield: 8 to 10 servings
