Braised Tenderloin Tips

Ingredients

2 pounds beef tenderloin tips, thinly sliced
1/4 cup Roberts Butter
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons kummel, optional
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic, crushed
1/2 cup Burgundy
1/2 cup bourbon
1 cup canned tomatoes
2 beef bouillon cubes

Preparation

Brown meat quickly in butter. Stir in salt, kummel, mushrooms, chopped onion and crushed garlic; cook 3 minutes, adding more butter, if necessary. Stir in remaining ingredients and simmer 30 minutes, or until tender. Serve over hot cooked rice or noodles, if desired.

Yield: 4 to 6 servings

Notes:

Kummel is a sweet liqueur flavored with essence from caraway seeds.
