Ingredients
2 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup Roberts Butter
3/4-1 cup Roberts Buttermilk
Preparation
Sift dry ingredients together; cut in butter with a fork or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse meal. Stir in buttermilk to make a soft dough. Knead dough gently about 10 strokes on lightly floured surface; pat to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut dough with a floured 2 inch round cutter and place on a buttered baking sheet; brush tops with a small amount of buttermilk. Bake at 450° for 12 to 15 minutes, or until lightly browned.
Yield: 1 dozen
