Candied Sweet Potatoes

Ingredients

1 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup Roberts Butter, melted
2 cans (18 ounces each) sweet potatoes
2 tablespoons freshly grated orange rind
1/2 cup water

Preparation

Mix together brown sugar, cinnamon and melted butter. Arrange 1 layer of sweet potatoes in a well-buttered 2 quart baking dish; sprinkle with part of sugar mixture. Continue with layers of sweet potatoes and sugar mixture. Sprinkle top layer with sugar mixture and grated orange rind. Pour water over all and bake at 350° for 30 to 45 minutes, or until well-browned and syrup is thick.

Yield: 6 servings
