Casserole Pizzaiola

Ingredients

1/2 pound wide noodles
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
3 1/4 cups spaghetti sauce
l/2 teaspoon anise seed
l 1/4 teaspoons salt
pepper to taste
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
dash allspice
8 ounces American cheese, shredded
oregano

Preparation

Cook noodles according to package directions. Meanwhile, brown ground beef; drain. Mix in spaghetti sauce, anise seed, salt, pepper, garlic salt and allspice. Alternate layers of cooked noodles, meat mixture and shredded cheese in a 9 x 13 x 2 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with oregano. Cover and bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Uncover, bake an additional 10 minutes.
