Cherry Coffee Cake

Ingredients

2 cups flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup Roberts Butter
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 Roberts Eggs
3/4 cup Roberts Milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 can (16 ounce) red sour pitted cherries, drained
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Preparation

In a mixing bowl, mix together flour and sugar; cut in butter. Divide mixture in half. Add baking powder, eggs, milk and vanilla extract to half of flour-sugar mixture; pour into a buttered 11 x 7 x 2 inch baking pan. Place drained cherries on top of batter. Add brown sugar and cinnamon to remaining half of flour sugar mixture; sprinkle over cherries. Top with chopped pecans. Bake at 375° for 40 to 45 minutes, or until top springs back when touched lightly.
