Ingredients
1 box bread stuffing mix (chicken flavor)
1 box bread stuffing mix (sage flavor)
1 1/2 pounds chicken gizzards
1/2 pound breakfast sausage
1/2 cup onion, ground or chopped fine
1 can celery soup + 1 can milk
2 1/2 cups Roberts Vitamin D Whole Milk
Preparation
Clean and grind chicken gizzards, put in large skillet, add ground onion, add sausage. Fry and mix meat till about 1/2 cooked. Add the milk, cook on medium heat another 20 minutes. In medium size roaster mix bread stuffing, add gizzards and sausage. Take can of celery soup, 1 can of milk and mix; add to contents of roaster after smearing Roberts Butter on the side and bottom. The more milk used, the softer the stuffing. You can add the onion while cooking the gizzards and sausage or put on top of the stuffing before adding the meat. I usually put the onion on the gizzards and sausage together. Some prefer adding it to the stuffing. I do not add any salt. You can add pepper if you wish.
