Chili Sauce

Ingredients

12 large tomatoes
2 large onions
4 green peppers
2 tablespoons salt
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon cloves
2 1/2 cups vinegar

Preparation

Peel tomatoes and onions; chop fine. Remove seeds from green peppers and discard; chop peppers. Combine all ingredients; cook slowly for 45 to 60 minutes, or until thickened, stirring occasionally. Pour into hot sterilized jars and seal.

Yield: 4 pints
