Crunchy Snack Mix

Ingredients

1/2 cup Roberts Butter
1/2 cup bacon drippings
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
2 cups O-shaped oat cereal
2 cups square rice cereal
2 cups square wheat cereal
4 cups thin pretzel sticks
1 pound salted mixed nuts

Preparation

Melt butter; add bacon drippings, Worcestershire sauce, garlic salt and seasoned salt. Mix dry ingredients together and pour butter mixture over all, mixing well. Bake at 300° for 1 hour, stirring every 10 minutes.

Yield: 3 1/2 quarts

Notes:

To sugar fruit, dip clean, dry fresh fruit in slightly beaten egg white and then in sugar. Gently shake off excess and set aside to dry. Use sugared fruit as a garnish for salads, main dishes, pastries and appetizer beverages. Try sugaring the rims of glasses for your next "special" meal—it really adds a festive touch.
