Curried Apple Wedges

Ingredients

1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon curry powder
1/8 teaspoon cayenne
5 tablespoons white vinegar
1/2 cup dry white wine
4 apples, quartered, seeds removed
32 slices thin bacon

Preparation

Combine first 5 ingredients and heat until of syrup consistency. Cut each apple into 8 wedges and cook in syrup for 5 minutes. Wrap apples in bacon; secure with toothpicks. Place on broiler pan and bake at 350° for 5 minutes, or until bacon is crisp. Serve hot.
