Deviled Beef Canapes

Ingredients

2 1/2 cups (8 ounces) ground cooked beef roast
1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
3/4 cup Roberts Sour Cream
1/3 cup toasted sesame seeds
24 toast rounds or crackers

Preparation

Mix beef, Worcestershire sauce, hot pepper sauce, dry mustard, onion and sour cream together until smooth. Chill. Form mixture into balls about the size of marbles and roll in toasted sesame seeds. Place on toast rounds or crackers.

Yield: 2 dozen

For best results with canapes, spread bases with topping just before serving. Canapes prepared too far in advance can dry out and lose their appeal.

Notes: To toast sesame seeds, place on flat baking sheet and bake at 350° for 5 to 10 minutes, stirring frequently until nicely browned.
