Ingredients
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1/8-1/4 teaspoon cloves
1/4-1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
1 pound (4 cups) cranberries, washed
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Preparation
Bring sugar, water and spices to a boil; boil 5 minutes. Add cranberries and lemon juice; cook for 5 minutes, or until cranberry skins burst. Serve chilled.
Yield: 2 1/2 cups
