Glazed Strawberries

Ingredients
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
3/4 cup water
3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 teaspoon freshly grated lemon rind
4 drops yellow food coloring
1 pint fresh strawberries
Preparation
Combine sugar and cornstarch in a small saucepan; stir in water and lemon juice. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and cook, stirring constantly, until thickened and clear, about 5 minutes. Stir in grated lemon rind and yellow food coloring; cool slightly. Wash and hull strawberries; pour lemon sauce over berries and serve immediately.
Yield: 4 servings
