Goulash

Cookbook

Goulash is a basic dish that can be adapted to your preferences by adding chopped green pepper or celery, chopped tomatoes and spices or herbs.

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef 1 tablespoon Roberts Butter 1 medium onion, chopped 2 cups uncooked macaroni 1 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1 can (8 ounce) tomato sauce 4 ounces Cheddar cheese, grated 1 teaspoon chili powder

Preparation

Brown ground beef in butter in a large heavy skillet. Add chopped onion; cook until tender. Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain. Stir into ground beef mixture. Mix in remaining ingredients. Cook slowly, covered, until cheese melts, about 5 minutes.

Yield: 6 servings
