Ham and Broccoli Royale

Ingredients
3 cups hot cooked rice
2 packages (10 ounces each) frozen cut broccoli
1/2 cup Roberts Butter
2 cups fresh bread cubes
1/4 cup chopped onion
3 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 cups Roberts Milk
4 cups cubed cooked ham (about 1 1/2 pounds)
8 slices American cheese
Preparation
Spoon rice into a deep 3 quart buttered baking dish. Cook broccoli according to package directions: drain and spoon over rice. Melt butter; remove 2 tablespoons and toss lightly with the bread cubes; set aside. Saute onion in remaining butter; add flour and seasonings. Add milk slowly and cook until slightly thickened. Mix in ham and cook until bubbly. Pour mixture over broccoli in baking dish; arrange cheese slices on top; sprinkle buttered bread cubes over all. Cover and bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
