Ingredients

2 cups sugar
2/3 cup light corn syrup
2 cups water
2 teaspoons flavoring extract or 1/2 teaspoon flavoring oil
1/2 teaspoon salt food coloring

Preparation

Cook sugar, corn syrup and water to medium crack stage (295°). Stir in flavoring extract or oil, salt and food coloring until well-blended; quickly pour onto a sheet of aluminum foil. When cooled, crack into pieces with a knife handle. Store in a tightly covered container.

Yield: 1 pound
