Hearty Quick Bread

Ingredients

2 Roberts Eggs
1 cup sugar
2 cups Roberts Buttermilk
2/3 cup dark molasses
3 cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 1/2 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
1 1/2 cups chopped dates

Preparation

Beat eggs until light in color; gradually add sugar, beating well. Stir in buttermilk and molasses. Sift dry ingredients together; add to egg mixture with remaining ingredients; stir until thoroughly mixed. Pour mixture evenly into 2 buttered and waxed paper lined 8 x 4 x 3 inch loaf pans. Bake at 350° for 1 hour, or until a wooden pick inserted in center tests clean. Store in tightly covered container.

Yield: 2 loaves
