Liver Loaf

Cookbook

Liver Loaf is a tasty dish to serve with French Fried Onions and Fluffy Baked Potatoes.

Ingredients

8 ounces beef liver
1 small onion, chopped
4 ounces Farmer Frank's Pork Sausage
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon celery salt
dash pepper
1 Roberts Egg, beaten
1/4 cup reserved stock
2 slices bacon

Preparation

Cover liver with hot water; simmer 5 minutes. Drain liquid and reserve for stock. Grind cooked liver and onion through food chopper, using a medium blade. Add remaining ingredients, except bacon, mixing thoroughly. Form into a loaf in a 6 x 4 x 3 inch loaf pan. Top with bacon slices. Bake at 325° for 45 minutes.
