Liver with Green Onion Sauce

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups sliced green onion (tops included)
1/4 cup Roberts Butter
2 tablespoons flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
dash nutmeg
1 cup Roberts Milk
1 pound baby beef liver

Preparation

Saute onion in half of butter over medium heat until tender, but not brown. Stir in flour, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Remove from heat and gradually stir in milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until slightly thickened. Reduce heat and cover. Arrange liver pieces on a well-buttered broiler pan; melt remaining butter and brush on liver. Broil 3 to 4 inches from heat about 2 minutes on each side, until browned, but still slightly pink inside. Cut liver into strips; add liver and all pan juices to the onion sauce. Reheat quickly and serve immediately.
