Marinated Mushrooms

Ingredients
1 pound fresh mushrooms
1 cup dry white wine
1 1/2 cups olive oil
1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
2 teaspoons salt
freshly ground pepper to taste
1 lemon
3 whole cloves
1 medium bay leaf
3 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
3 tablespoons finely chopped onion
Preparation
Wipe mushrooms with damp towel and place in a bowl large enough to hold the mushrooms and the wine. Pour wine over mushrooms. Place in the refrigerator to chill 1 hour. Beat the olive oil, hot pepper sauce, salt and pepper together with a wire whisk. Slice the lemon; add with the cloves, bay leaf, parsley and onion to oil mixture. Strain mushrooms and place in a tightly covered jar with oil mixture to cover.
