No Guilt Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

2 cups sugar        
1 3/4 cups flour          
3/4 cups baking cocoa    
1/2 teaspoon salt             
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 
1 cup Roberts Skim Milk
4 egg whites
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 cup boiling water

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease or spray a 13x9x2 inch baking pan. In large mixing bowl, mix sugar, flour, cocoa, salt, baking soda and baking powder. Stir in milk, egg whites, vanilla and applesauce. Add the boiling water; mix. Pour this batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the middle of the cake comes out clean. Roberts Skim Milk is another added factor that makes it lighter. This is a heart-friendly cake because it does not include egg yolks or oil. It substitutes applesauce for the oil and eliminates the yolks to control the fat and cholesterol, so that it's good for the arteries and the heart and controls the excess fat calories. It also satisfies the taste of chocolate by adding the cocoa.
