Ingredients
1/2 cup Roberts Margarine, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 Roberts Egg
3 cups flour, sifted
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
2 cups Roberts Buttermilk
1 cup raisins, plumped
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or shredded coconut
Sweetened Whipped Cream
Preparation
Cream margarine well; gradually add sugars, blending thoroughly; mix in egg. Combine flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg; gradually add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk. Stir in raisins and nuts or coconut. Pour batter into a buttered and floured 9 x 13 x 2 inch baking pan. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a wooden pick inserted in center tests clean. Serve warm with Sweetened Whipped Cream or cool and frost as desired.
