Spritz Cookies

Cookbook

Dainty Spritz Cookies can be made in a variety of interesting shapes.

Ingredients

1 cup Roberts Butter
2/3 cup sugar
1 Roberts Egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups flour
1/8 teaspoon salt
food coloring, optional

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar together thoroughly; add egg and vanilla extract. Gradually stir in sifted dry ingredients, mixing well. If desired, divide dough and tint with food coloring. Chill at least 1 hour. Force dough through cookie press onto lightly buttered baking sheets. Bake at 400° for 8 to 10 minutes, or until lightly browned.

Yield: 3 1/2 dozen
