Tacos

Ingredients

1 pound lean ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 cup canned Mexican red chile sauce
8 taco shells
2-3 cups shredded lettuce
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
canned or bottled taco sauce

Preparation

Brown ground beef in skillet; add onion and cook until soft. Stir in chile sauce and simmer about 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Heat taco shells in oven, if desired. Fill each taco shell with meat sauce, lettuce and cheese; top with taco sauce.

Yield: 4 servings
