Ingredients
6 potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 carrot, grated
1 celery stalk, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
3 cups water
2 tablespoons beef bouillon granules
2 pounds ground turkey
1 can mushrooms, drained
2 tablespoons Roberts Butter
5 cups Roberts Milk
6 tablespoons flour
1 package (16 ounces) Velveeta Cheese, cubed
1/4 cup crumbled precooked bacon
Preparation
In a soup kettle, combine all vegetables, water, beef bouillon. Bring to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover and simmer for about 15 minutes until potatoes are tender. In a large skillet, cook the ground turkey and mushrooms in the butter until the meat is done. Drain and add to the soup mixture. Stir in four cups of milk. Heat through. In a small bowl, combine the flour and remaining milk until smooth. Gradually add to the soup. Bring to a boil. Cook and stir until thickened, about two minutes. Reduce the heat and mix in the cheese until it is melted. Garnish each bowl with crumbled bacon which has been heated in the microwave following directions on the package.
