Vanilla Sugar

Ingredients

Bury 3 or 4 vanilla beans in a canister containing 3 cups granulated sugar. Allow to stand 1 week before using. (Keep vanilla beans in canister.) Use Vanilla Sugar for sweetening fresh fruits, sprinkling on cookies before baking and sweetening mixed drinks. (Keeps indefinitely.)

Yield: 3 cups
